GH4 Guerrilla Filmmaking: Case Study

This is a case study about Guerrilla Filmmaking using Panasonic GH4 to shoot “Without You”.

 The film project initiated when I was given a pre-Production Panasonic GH4 camera body to test before its global launch. After realising the great potential of the new camera, the simple test evolved to become a short film project. It took 10 days to turn this project from a blank sheet of paper to a successful shoot that combined the skills of 14 talented and dedicated friends.

Grading GH4 with ImpulZ LUTs

I got the ImpulZ Pro LUT set the day it was launched mainly because this is the first LUT set to consider GH4 in its presets.  ImpulZ is a film emulation LUT product, created by VisionColor and distributed by Denver Riddle, founder of Color Grading Central. He has been offering us a superb collection of color grading tools for our modern digital cinematography workflows, so I was sure I’m getting a product of a high quality from him and his affiliates.

GH4 Review: The king of Guerrillas

PRELUDE

The privilege of having an early preproduction GH4 camera falling on my lap when only a few in the world barely had the opportunity to see it from behind glass was the most obvious sign to start this blog… So here it is… my first article will be a GH4 Camera review. In this review I was mainly focusing on the video features of the camera, which IMHO outshines its photographic capabilities, not that they’re poor, but because the video features are beyond AWESOME!
